For everything that walks away
Bluetooth beacons on drills and saws, read by Geotab hardware you already run. No per-tag contracts.

What it does
Tag the gear once, and the fleet does the tracking for you.
Small Bluetooth beacons adhere or zip-tie to tools, cases, and gear too small for a full asset tracker.
When a crew starts the truck, the vehicle checks what is aboard automatically.
Separation and left-behind alerts flag the tool still at the site before the truck is twenty miles away.
The GO devices, cameras, and Plus trackers already in your fleet do the reading, so there is no separate reader network to buy or mount.
Instead of a truck-to-truck phone hunt, MyGeotab shows where each tool was last seen, so you find it before you reorder it.
A closer look
Bluetooth beacons go on the tools too small for a full tracker, and the Geotab hardware you already run reads them as the trucks come and go.
Bluetooth Low Energy tags small enough to ride on a drill, a case, or a cord reel too small for a full tracker.
Adhesive backs for flat surfaces and cases, zip-tie tags for handles, hoses, and cords.
Each beacon carries just a short-range Bluetooth radio, with nothing to power up or activate.
Picked up by the Geotab devices already in your trucks and on your assets, as they come and go.
The reading gateway stamps each tag with a time and place in MyGeotab, beside your vehicles.
We match tag size, mount, and battery to each tool class before anything ships.
Beacons from proven Geotab Marketplace partners. Everything reports into the same MyGeotab.
The specifics
Turn every truck into a tag reader with no add-on hardware: tag the gear, and the Geotab devices you already run do the scanning.
Each BLE beacon is paired to a gateway and labeled with the tool it rides on, so it shows up by name in MyGeotab.
Your GO device (GO10 on-board Bluetooth), a GO Focus Plus or Pro camera, or a GO Anywhere Plus tracker reads the tags.
Adhere or zip-tie the tags to the gear. No tools, no wiring, and no configuration on the tag itself.
Left-behind and separation alerts fire while the tool is still recoverable, not at the end-of-week count.
Tagged tools appear alongside your vehicles and assets, in the same reports and the same login.
The tags are certified Geotab Marketplace hardware, so they report into MyGeotab like any other device.
The small stuff rides along
You do not put a cellular tracker on every drill. The fleet you already run does the reading.
The more Geotab hardware you already run, the more places a tag can be read, with no add-on reader to buy or install.
Crews stop doing manual tool counts; the truck logs what is aboard, so no one signs out gear by hand.
Because any gateway reads any tag, a tool left on site or riding off on another crew's truck still surfaces in MyGeotab.
In MyGeotab
Tools relay through the GO device in the cab, each with its own record.
Tag it or track it
Drills, saws, generators small enough to lift, job boxes, test equipment, ladders, and cases: anything that rides between trucks and sites and has a habit of staying behind.
Trailers, containers, and unpowered equipment that lives outdoors belong on a GO Anywhere. Powered, high-value, or far-flung assets deserve a GO Anywhere Plus.
The beacons are third-party Geotab Marketplace tags, and the reader is the GO10 on-board Bluetooth in the cab. We scope both against your actual gear list. Talk through your operation and we will map it with you.
Questions
Each tool carries a small Bluetooth beacon that is read by the Geotab hardware you already run, so MyGeotab shows a last-seen location beside your vehicles. Inventory scans automatically on ignition, with separation and left-behind alerts if something is missing.
No. The Bluetooth tags talk to the gateway in the truck, which does the reporting. You pay for tags, not for another line of cellular service per drill.
Any Next-Gen GO10 with its on-board Bluetooth, a GO Focus Plus or Pro camera, or a GO Anywhere Plus tracker. Most fleets already own their gateway network without knowing it.
The beacons are proven third-party Bluetooth tags from Geotab Marketplace partners: LinkLabs in North America and ELA in EMEA. GPSFMS scopes the right tag for your gear so you do not have to pick a vendor.
