GO Plan Launches October 1st: Unlock Every Feature from Your GO Device

Starting October 1st, Geotab is launching the GO Plan to provide enhanced data, deeper insights, and broader product compatibility. This new plan ensures that Partners and Customers receive the maximum value and best experience possible.


Key Features of the GO Plan:


  • Full Access to GO Device Capabilities: Leverage all the power of your GO telematics device for predictive safety, advanced maintenance, and optimized ROI.

  • Expanded Compatibility: Seamlessly integrates with a broader range of fleet management tools and products.


Asset Plan for the GO Anywhere Asset Tracker

Alongside the GO Plan, the Asset Plan is being introduced for the GO Anywhere asset tracker. This plan mirrors the functionality of the existing Base Rate Plan, allowing continued effective management of assets using high-quality data.


Transitioning from Base and Regulatory Plans to the GO Plan

Customers with Base or Regulatory plans will now see enhanced messaging when accessing features exclusive to the GO Plan, Pro, or ProPlus. Instead of a blank page, you’ll see clear notifications about the features available in your current plan, as well as upsell opportunities.

  • Improved Visibility: See which features are available with the GO Plan, helping you better understand the benefits of upgrading.

  • Baseline Data for Safety and Maintenance: Starting from September 2024, you’ll have access to a baseline of data that can help your fleet focus on safety, sustainability, and overall vehicle health.


Improved Trip Assignments for Greater Accuracy

Geotab has introduced a significant update to the Trips History page in MyGeotab. From now on, a new trip will be created whenever a driver change occurs. This behind-the-scenes update ensures better trip data accuracy, giving you a clear view of driver performance and trip history.


What’s Improved:


  • Accurate Driver Tracking: No more misattributed idling or trip data. Every driver’s activity is correctly recorded.

  • Clearer Trip History: Trips won’t be reassigned before the previous trip ends, ensuring reliable data.

  • Exception Handling: Eliminates errors where drivers were incorrectly assigned, reducing confusion.


How This Benefits You:


  • Accurate Trip Data: Expect to see more trips recorded, accurately reflecting each driver’s actions.

  • Zero Distance Trips: Created when a driver change occurs without driving, ensuring idling is attributed to the correct driver.

  • New Trip for Each Driver Change: Every driver change triggers a new trip, even if the new driver is "Unknown."


This update enhances your ability to track and optimize fleet operations without making direct changes to the Trips History UI.


Introducing Downloadable Risk Analytics Reports

Geotab’s Safety Center now offers a new way to access Risk Analytics data with downloadable Excel and PDF reports. These reports provide flexibility for in-depth analysis outside of MyGeotab, enabling more comprehensive data management and easier reporting.

  • Flexible Report Formats: Easily combine data with other reports in familiar formats.

  • Deeper Insights with Pivot Tables: Create pivot tables for granular analysis and improved decision-making.

  • Automated Email Delivery: Schedule automated report deliveries from MyGeotab, simplifying data sharing and risk management.
